Corporate entertainment ideas

When planning an event for the company, it is imperative that some sort of corporate entertainment is included in the programme.  If the corporate entertainment is missing and all there is to the programme are some speeches by the company’s bigwigs, then this event will turn out to be just a flat and forgettable to-do, an excuse for employees and guests to eat and get drunk on the company’s expense account.

It is not enough, however, to merely inject a form of corporate entertainment just for the sake of having one.  With a little thinking and a little planning, corporate entertainment that is superb and unique will go a long way in making sure that the corporate event is a roaring success that will be the topic of office gossip long after the event is over.

Here are a few ideas for corporate entertainment that are assured to make the company event a smashing success:

  1. Comedy acts.  Hiring comic performers is one of the best ways to liven up the participants in the company event.  Laughter, after all, is always a good icebreaker, and a good icebreaker is something that is necessary in corporate entertainment.

The comic performer to be contracted for the company event should be one who is not offensive in his brand of humour.  Instead, he should be one who has a feel for his audience and delivers material appropriate to them.

A comic pickpocket is always a good choice for a comedy act in corporate entertainment.  While he distracts his audience with his wit and his jokes, his hands, as well as those of his “accomplices,” make away with the audience’s valuables, only to reappear in the most unexpected places.  That the audience is left wondering as to how the comic pickpocket and his gang did it only adds to the fun.

  2. Unusual games.  Parlour games, fun as they are, no longer have a place in a corporate entertainment programme.  They have become boring and a tad passé.  In place of these tired, old parlour tricks, games with an unusual flavour upon them are great additions to the corporate entertainment programme.  There are many great games that can be chosen out there.

For instance, in light of the fact that online casinos are becoming very, very popular in the United Kingdom and the rest of Europe, mobile fun casinos can be brought in to provide fun to a corporate event.  A good game of blackjack can unleash the gamblers among the guests, and roulette is always great for kicks, especially when the dice is hot.

To up the ante on these games, a corporate events planner can bring in a card gaming table where the guests would be pitting their wits against a known cheat or conman.  It would be quite impossible to beat a conman when he knows every trick of the game, but it sure would be fun to try.

  3. Magic.  The wonder of magic tricks lets the old grumps in the corporate world to connect with their inner childhood, and doing that is always loads of fun.  Getting professional magicians to ply their trade as part of the corporate entertainment is always a refreshing idea, especially when family and kids are included in the company affair.

When we say magic tricks for corporate entertainment, it certainly does not mean to include tired and old parlour tricks.  A twist on those tricks, perhaps, but certainly tricks that are delivered with more pizzazz, guaranteeing high impact on the audience.  Whether it is cabaret magic, street magic, close up magic or magic of any form out there is the choice of the organiser.

A truly memorable corporate event is something that is lively and full of fun.  Unique and creative corporate entertainment is the way to cinch it.
